The Milanese roster available to coach Messina continues to be updated. This time a returning horse is added: Zach LeDay, great protagonist in the red and white in the 2020-21 season, the year of the historic return to the Euroleague Final Four. Curiously, the following year LeDay was “sacrificed” to make room for the return of Nicolò Melli. Now, after the captain has just joined Fenerbahce Istanbul, LeDay returns to the Milanese forward department, where at the moment he will share minutes above all with Nikola Mirotic.

In the last three years, LeDay has played at Partizan Belgrade, always in double figures for points scored: the first year in the Eurocup and the last two in the Euroleague. “I want to be simple, concise and sweet: I’m back in Milan. Let’s pick up where we left off”, he declared. In Milan he only played in the post-covid season, with an average of 10.0 points per game and several decisive baskets (the iconic one in Game 1 of the Euroleague playoffs against Bayern).

Among the negotiations almost concluded are those with Leandro Bolmaro and Ousmane Diop. For the last Italian to be included, there is strong interest in Gabriele Procida and Awudu Abass, also in this case it would be a return after several seasons.
