The Prefecture of Naples has arranged theintensification of controls in the area of the Giugliano Roma camp, in the province of Naples, the scene of a fire today, June 25th: the black cloud generated by the fire was visible for kilometers, in a short time the air between Giugliano and the neighboring municipality of Qualiano became unbreathable. To burn, a mass of plastic materials which had been piled up on the ground, in an area practically transformed into an open-air landfill, near the Ponte Riccio area.
In the minutes in which the fire was raging, the Local Police and the Carabinieri were already present nearby and were proceeding with the seizure of a vehicle as part of the road checks carried out along the perimeter of the camp. Once the alarm was raised, the Fire Brigade intervened in via Carrafiello and contained the fire, preventing it from spreading to the vegetation and materials stored nearby. On site, we read in a note from the Prefecture, there are also units of the Italian Army of the Strade Sicure contingent.
