In 2008, at the Fienile del Varignano club, Mencarini was also present, among the sixty-eighters belonging to the historical left, the extra-parliamentary one, to remind, with music, photos, films and interventions the disappearance of Umberto Franceschini, the butcher from Viareggio who was very well known in the protest circles of the 60s and 70s.
