The air ambulance that had landed near the site of the accident took off again.
The centaur, a 30-year-old man, after initial treatment on site, was transferred to the Cannizzaro hospital in Catania.
According to the information we have, the man was conscious but suffered serious injuries to his lower limbs.
This afternoon, along Provincial Road 160, one of the main arteries that connects Ragalna to Nicolosi, a serious accident occurred involving a two-wheeler and a car.
The accident occurred immediately after the Ragalna cemetery, within the Belpasso area.
The information is currently still fragmentary, but according to initial reconstructions, the clash had serious consequences for the centaur, who suffered serious injuries.
The gravity of the situation made it necessary to intervene by the air ambulance, which left from the Cannizzaro hospital after having unsuccessfully attempted to land on the road and landed at the sports field to provide timely assistance.
Two 118 ambulances intervened on site for rescue operations.
Medics are working to stabilize the injured person and ensure safe transport to hospital.
Provincial road 160 is currently closed to traffic to allow rescue operations to be carried out in complete safety.
