Official route to ‘Salera encore‘. The launch takes place on the day in which the Democratic Party triumphs in all the cities of Lazio called to the ballot achieving a 6 out of 7 that no one had hypothesized until a month ago. Enzo Salera puts its executive and its majority into play exactly two weeks after his personal triumph: precursor of the Dem wave that hit Lazio today. The launch of the Salera bis
A launch that began with The oath of the first citizen and theelection of the president of the City Council, there was the validation of all the elected edby tomorrow all the permanent commissions will be operational. Presiding over the meeting was the opening of the session senior advisor Edilio Terranova, as he is the one who reported the highest number of preferences on the list that received the most votes. Then, unanimously, the meeting voted Barbara Di Rollo who therefore returns to preside over the proceedings in the Di Biasio room as already happened in the five-year period 2019-2024. The president thanked everyone for their trust and, like mayor Salera, she swore an oath on the Constitution.
Before the election of the president, there were many interventions, especially from the opposition, in a somewhat irregular manner as the mayor did not list the programmatic lines. However, the minority councilors immediately wanted to demonstrate that they were determined to carry out their role as opponents. Particularly combative Giuseppe Sebastianelli who opposed the item on the Agenda relating to the formation of the Commissions, as he argued that he could not be included in the first Council.
The municipal secretary explained that we could proceed and so from tomorrow they will settle: that Balancewhich will be chaired by the former councilor for Commerce Maria Rita Petrillo will meet in the next few hours as iOn June 28th it will be necessary to return to the Council to approve the Tari tariffs: fulfillment which cannot go beyond the end of the current month.
Two oppositions
But the opposition headed by Giuseppe Sebastianelli – with in tow Franco Evangelista And Arduino Incagnoli – wanted immediately mark the distances also from the other opposition, that of Arturo Buongiovanni’s centre-right: the three, in fact, did not vote in favor of Carmine Di Mambro as an expression of opposition to the vice-presidency of the Chamber.
Going into specifics: Sebastianelli and Evangelista voted against, Incagnoli abstained. Carmine Di Mambro was elected vice president of the Chamber with the votes of the six centre-right councillors and the entire majority also voted in favor.
AND a very indicative political signal. It goes to show that in the centre-right camp there is still a lot of work to be done to mend the rifts which worsened during the election campaign. Also because Sebastianelli explained in recent days that he was convinced of his thesis according to which “there was an agreement not to have a center-right mayor elected in Cassino in 2024, effectively giving Salera the reconfirmation“.
The mayor responded to him with what comes easiest to him, numbers: “If the agreement Sebastianelli speaks of would have been between me and Abbruzzese, as I understand, it is enough to compare the votes that Abbruzzese got in Cassino at the European Championships and those that I got to understand that this thesis does not stand up“.
The group leaders
Another interesting note was that relating to the group leaders. In the Democratic Party between the two litigants Sarah Grieco and Ornella Rodi he got the better of it Fabio Vizzacchero. However, Grieco will have the presidency of the Environment commission.
In the list ‘We participate in Cassino‘ the group leader will be Andrea Vizzaccaro while for the list ‘Salera mayor‘ the role of group leader was confirmed as in the previous five years Edilio Terranova.
Maria Rita Petrillo And Luca Fardelli however, they do not form a common group: the first will therefore be the group leader Common Horizonthe second of Demos. Also among the opposition almost all councilors will be their own group leaderswith the exception of Brothers of Italy which expresses two councilors and the group leader will be Silvestro Petrarcone.
With today’s city council, the post-electoral phase dedicated to the formation of the council, the swearing-in and the start of the permanent council commissions came to an end. From now on the Salera bis really begins and we can bet that already in the Council on Friday the tones will be much more heated than today which was a ceremony, more than advice, especially for beginners.
