PIAVE BRIDGE (TREVISO) – Motorcyclist in very serious condition after going off the road to Piave Bridge. The man, BM, 49 years old, resident in the area, is hospitalized in reserved prognosis to the hospital Ca’ Foncello Of Treviso following a road accident that occurred on Sunday evening in Ponte di Piave. According to the first reconstruction, the 49-year-old was traveling along Via Europa on his motorbike when, for reasons yet to be ascertained, he lost control of the vehicle and went off the road, causing serious injuries. The accident occurred shortly after 8pm on Sunday along the route that connects the regional Postumia to Negrisia. Rescue efforts were immediate, with the arrival of a medical vehicle and a Suem 118 ambulance; the health workers provided first aid to the man and then transported him urgently to the Treviso hospital, under code red.
The investigations
They intervened police to carry out legal investigations and reconstruct the dynamics of the incident. At the moment the causes that led the centaur to lose control of his motorbike are not clear, but the hypothesis of a sudden illness or excessive speed. The accident caused inevitable slowdowns to traffic in the area. Unfortunately, it is not the first time that similar incidents have occurred in Ponte di Piave: just a few months ago, another motorcyclist was seriously injured in a similar accident.
