Giusi Parolino, athlete of ASD Milone Siracusa wins the gold medal at the Italian summer athletics championships and brings home his seventeenth Title of Italian javelin throwing champion.
Parolino, “record-breaking athlete”, also this year with his tenacity and consistency, has achieved many successes in the Sicilian and national fields in just a few months; it is the second title of Italian champion of the year 2024; the previous one achieved in February at the “Italico Conti” field in Ancona during the Italian winter long throw championships. For ASD Milone Siracusa also on the podium were Giusi Malerma gold in the triple and long distance and Irene Penzin silver in the triple.
Three days of challenges in Rome in Stadio delle Aquile, which saw the participation of over 1400 members and more than 2400 athletes representing 380 clubs. After the first two days characterized by strong heat, Sunday morning’s competitions were penalized by strong winds and some storms which limited the performance of many athletes.
Among the competitions (jumps and throws) on Sunday, the women’s javelin is also competing with start at 9:20 and where the athlete Giusi Parolino with the measurement of m. 28.87 won his umpteenth gold medal.
