For one evening, Logge di Banchi takes on the guise of the gala restaurant for the Dinner on the Bridge which due to bad weather changes location and, in the words of the mayor Michele Conti, and the president of the Region, Eugenio Giani, makes this event even more beautiful and evocative which opens the Pisan and Tuscan summer”. Now in its 12th edition and organized by Confcommercio and Confristoranti with the participation of the North-West Tuscany-Terre di Pisa Chamber of Commerce, the patronage of the Municipality and in collaboration with the ‘Matteotti’ hotel institute and the Ant Pisa Foundation, in addition to the Association Cuochi Pisani and Fisar and included in the Arcobaleno d’Estate program promoted by the Region together with La Nazione. “Summer Rainbow – said Giani – is the showcase of Tuscany that shows its most beautiful face. Together with La Nazione this event enhances our region and is the highest expression of widespread Tuscany”.

According to Mayor Conti it is an initiative “in a place in Pisa which thus appears even more beautiful and is an incentive to enhance it further”. For this reason Daniela Petraglia, president of ConfRistiranti, put forward a proposal: “Since unfortunately over 500 people were left out of the reservations compared to the 440 who arrived in a very short time, for next year we could also use this space to double the capacity and welcome everyone” . They brought greetings from the Pisan Confcommercio, the president Stefano Maestri Accesi (“bad weather could have ruined this evening but the energy of those who participated and the dedication of our restaurateurs made it a magical moment”) and the director Federico Pieragnoli. And then Guglielmo Vezzosi, head of special initiatives at La Nazione and the head of the Pisan editorial team Paola Zerboni. The protagonists on the table are traditional Pisan dishes, in a delicious fish-based menu: fresh pasta lasagnetta with cod and leek cream, octopus tentacle cooked at low temperature in “Luciana” sauce and “Summer Rainbow” dessert , prepared by the chefs of La Tortuga, L’Artilafo, Pasta de’ Miracoli, Sottosella – Country Club Boccadarno, La Pergoletta, Osteria In Domo and the Cuochi Pisani association. Among the guests were the president and general director of the regional Confocommercio, Aldo Cursano and Franco Marinoni, the MEP Susanna Ceccardi, the parliamentarians Ylenia Zaiuto, Edoardo Ziello, Andrea Barabotti and Marco Simiani, the regional councilor Elena Meini, the deputy mayor Raffaele Latrofa, the councilors Paolo Pesciatini, Massimo Dringoli and Gabriele Porcaro, the president of the city council Alessandro Bargagna and the representatives of all the political forces and also the head of cabinet of the president of the Region Cristina Manetti, the president of the North West Tuscany Chamber of Commerce, Valter Tamburini . Part of the proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the Ant Foundation of Pisa.
