Saturday 29 June, at 9pm, in Piazza San Marco a Civezza a meeting will be held, with free admission, entitled “What do we know about sustainability? Social commitment, fight against food waste, economic impact, care for the environment”.

Sustainability is a very fashionable term, often abused and not always correctly practiced but whose importance is there for all to see.

Sustainability objectives combine the conservation and protection of the environment with essential social and economic factors such as individual and public growth as well as the value of each territory, whether small or large. Awareness of the need for this commitment is the basis of sustainable development and the ability to govern these aspirations, bring them together and make them structurally sound mechanisms is fundamental for achieving an ethical and inclusive economy regardless of whether or not the pursuit of profit is made. They are factors of the same machine that cannot ignore each other.

The meeting is sponsored by the Municipality of Civezza, the Province of Imperia, the University of Genoa, Riviera dei Fiori and Coldiretti and which will see the intervention of experts and operators in various capacities involved in the topic, will try to highlight the many aspects of sustainability , giving voice to good practices and different experiences as well as highlighting some inevitable critical issues with the aim of increasing awareness on the topic.
