Lariano – Cyclist from Rocca di Papa is seriously injured when he falls into the woods: the Fire Brigade helicopter intervenes

Concern in Lariano for the fate of a cyclist, a woman from Rocca di Papa, who fell in the woods above the town, in the Fonte la Pescara area. The accident, which occurred in a particularly difficult area, where another cyclist from Lariano had been seriously injured in recent weeks, required the intervention of several emergency vehicles to reach and assist the unfortunate victim.

A Fire Brigade helicopter intervened on site, together with the 27A tanker of the Velletri Fire Brigade. To support the rescue operations, a pickup was also used, which was able to access via Valle di Blasi, while the tanker remained stationed in via Vittoria Colonna, not far from the sports field, ready to provide support in case of need .

Immediately after the alarm, a 118 ambulance arrived. The medics, equipped with the necessary equipment for interventions in difficult-to-access places, approached the site of the accident, only to then head towards the sports field, in via Algidus. The conditions of the terrain made the passage of emergency vehicles complicated, so much so that the cyclist was saved by a Fire Brigade team, accompanied by the Speleo Alpino Fluviale (Saf) nucleus, a unit specialized in rescue operations in environments impervious.

Thanks to the helicopter, the rescuers managed to lift her and transport her safely, landing at the Lariano sports field, where an 118 ambulance was waiting for them ready to take care of the young woman, who is around thirty years old.

The community of Lariano followed the developments of the situation with apprehension, hoping that the timely and coordinated intervention of the rescue forces would lead to a positive outcome for the injured cyclist, who, once stabilized by the doctors, will be taken by air ambulance to the Tor Vergata Polyclinic .
