They argue over dirty dishes in the kitchen sink, the father grabs a knife and stabs his 31-year-old son to death. It happened in Indianapolis, Indiana: Timothy Ray Lisby59, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault after stabbing his son in the heart, Christopher Allen Lisby, 31 years old, during an argument. However, according to local media reports, the charge could soon be upgraded to murder. The family drama unfolded on June 14 in the Lisby family’s mobile home, located on Dogie Road. Jeremiah Green, a family friend who was present at the time, told Fox 59 the shocking details of the fight: “Tim had a spoon in his hand and started stabbing Chris,” Green said. “Chris said ‘Jeremiah, take the spoon out of my hand‘, so I did”.

According to the friend’s account, the argument degenerated into a fight, during which the father first attacked his son with a spoon and then stabbed him in the chest with a sharp object. Timothy Lisby would in fact have run into the kitchen to grab another object: “Tim ran into the kitchen and he grabbed something shiny, something sharp… and stuck it into Chris’ chest with all the strength he had,” Green continued.

After the attack, Green immediately called 911 but when Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived on scene, they found Christopher with a bleeding chest wound in the living room. Although he was rushed to hospital and underwent heart surgery, the 31-year-old died the following day.

Once he understood the gravity of the situation, Timothy Lisby tried to help his son: “He was putting pressure on Chris and saying, ‘Don’t die. Do not die’“Green told Fox 59. “Since that day I’ve been crying and can’t sleep.” Timothy Ray Lisby was initially charged with aggravated assault, but as the investigation by IMPD homicide detectives progresses, the charge may be changed to murder. Lisby is currently being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 21.

Jeremiah Green, deeply shaken by the incident, declared that he will testify against Timothy Lisby in court: “Chris was my friend. I loved him dearly,” Green said. “I’ve never seen anyone bleed so much and it hurt a lot. When he stabbed Chris in the heart, it was like he stabbed mine. Hkilled the only friend I have in the world. He will pay for what he did“.
