FLOR ESTATE IN BARDONECCHIA
BARDONECCHIA – For the seventh consecutive year FLOR returns to high altitude for its summer edition which, as per tradition, will take place in Bardonecchia, in the heart of the Piedmontese Val di Susa. The free event is scheduled for Sunday 30 June, from 9.30am to 7pm, for a day dedicated to flowers, leaves and beauty. The very central Via Medail, the nerve center of Bardonecchia, will welcome the approximately 40 exhibitors from Piedmont: horticulturalists with their fragrant and lively seasonal products but also small farmers and artisans for a celebration full of colors and nature in all its forms. There are numerous types of plants typical of mountain cultivation, to which are added more traditional proposals to meet everyone’s needs and tastes: annual and perennial herbaceous plants with summer flowering, violets, small fruits, aromatic plants such as lavender, thyme and the genepì, tropical and carnivorous plants, without forgetting the inevitable roses and orchids. There will also be space for ideas for the garden and its furnishings, from artisanal ceramics to vases made with stones to wooden flowers and much more.

Not only plants and flowers but also typical food and wine products and solutions for personal beauty and cosmetics. Walking along Via Medail, in fact, nature will always take different forms, starting with the food offerings thanks to the presence of small producers who will offer their “natural” excellences, from honey to Alpine spirits, from Caraglio garlic to cheeses and even the tasty taralli, aromatic herbs, hazelnuts, liquorice, dehydrated fruit, jams and typical sweets. To move on to ideas for taking care of your well-being such as soaps, creams, oils but also cosmetic products based on roses and wine. Over the years, it has become a point of reference for lovers of nature and its floral excellences and for holidaymakers who will be able to escape the city heat and enjoy the best of Piedmontese nursery farming up high, FLOR Bardonecchia is organized by the Piedmont Horticultural Society Association (www .orticolapiemonte.it) with the patronage of the Municipality of Bardonecchia.
