the winger won in Naples with Sacripanti

Although there is still no official announcement from the company, which could already arrive today, Vuelle has practically closed the agreement with the 201 cm winger Eric Lombardi, born in Turin on 1 February 1993. Lombardi grew up in the youth sector of Biella, and made his debut in Serie A in 2011-12 always with the Piedmontese team’s shirt, whose colors he wore until the 2015 season, – although in 2012-2013 he was loaned to Brescia in what was then League Two – before returning again in the 2019-2020 season. The new Vuelle winger also wore the shirts of Pistoia, Treviso and Naples with whom he achieved promotion to A1 with his coach Stefano Sacripanti on the Campania bench. Then he was in Treviglio and in the last season he was in Brindisi in Serie A1, where he closed his season with 2.6 points on average in just over 12 minutes spent on the court, with 52.9% from two, 25.9% threes and 84.6% free wings.

High level

Clearly, last year Lombardi had little space in Puglia, and therefore we believe that in this new adventure in Pesaro he will have a great desire to make up for it, fully demonstrating all his technical and athletic abilities, which throughout his career have allowed him to always play at a high level, given the teams he played for. The new red and white signing also wore the shirts of the Under 16, 18 and 20 national team and with the latter in 2013 he also won gold at the European category championships with head coach Stefano Sacripanti, and therefore they both know each other very well. After the confirmation of the young Octavio Maretto and the arrival of Quirino De Laurentiis, that of Eric Lombardi brings to two players who already have excellent experience of the A2 championship. In the meantime, today Andrea Cinciarini should communicate his decision whether or not to remain in Pesaro in view of next season, and as written several times in recent days – unless there are sensational last-minute second thoughts – the chances of seeing the former playmaker again Milan and Reggio are very few wearing red and white. Meanwhile, the transfer market for other teams continues and yesterday Nardò made official the new general manager who is Paolo Avvantaggio, while Vigevano announced the separation with playmaker Gianmarco Bertetti. Avellino instead, after the promotion, confirmed Armando Verazzo. Cantù instead announced the return of coach Nicola Brienza.

The pieces

At this point only Fortitudo Bologna and Nardò have not yet chosen the coach who will lead them next season. In A1, however, the paths of the Italian champions Milan and former Vuelle Nicolò Melli part ways, while Cremona announced the signing of Federico Zampini last season in A2 with Forlì. Bologna side Virtus instead said goodbye to Lundberg, while Reggio Emilia extended Uglietti’s contract. Pistoia, on the other hand, separates from the big man Del Chiaro, while the American Fobbs is the new guard for Sassari. The playmaker Ivanovic has reached an agreement with Brescia.
