Typical Prato cuisine, Montalbano wines and this year also traditional Chinese dishes. Today and tomorrow there is “EatPrato. From cloister to cloister”, organized by Confesercenti Prato as part of “Vetrina Toscana” in the cloisters of San Domenico, Sant’Agostino and Spirito Santo from 7pm to 11pm. This year the spaces they grew with the addition of the cloister of the church of the Holy Spirit. “EatPrato – explains the provincial president of Confesercenti Prato Stefano Bonfanti – wants to be the link between tourism and the traditions of our territory. Confesercenti Prato has decided to propose again for 2024 the event which has had considerable success in recent years. We have worked to transform it into an attraction not only for Prato, but for the entire metropolitan area.”

The “Ravioli di Cristina” restaurant makes its debut and will offer a dish of Chinese cuisine. “Food and wine – underlines Renzo Bellandi, president of the restaurateurs belonging to Confesercenti Prato – have now abandoned the role of mere food products, becoming interpreters and maximum expression of the territory, of the communities that live there, of the relationship between man and nature. No longer simple extras but true protagonists in the search for taste”. The mayor Ilaria Bugetti and the national president of Confesercenti Patrizia De Luise will intervene at the opening. Here are the pastry shops present in Sant’Agostino: Nuovo Mondo, Peruzzi, Guastini and Mannori. In the cloister of the Spirito Santo live jazz music where you can sip long drinks, beers and cocktails prepared by Caffè Coppini and for the wine the sommeliers of Atipico will take care of the Carmignano wine route and the Colline di Leonardo for the wine route of Montalbano. The cocktails will be entrusted to Mag56 while the beer will be served by Malt Must. In San Domenico, the restaurants will be: G…I Doc Ristobistrò, Edonè contemporary pizzeria, la Cornice del Gusto, Il Cantiere osteria, Il Fienile, Interludio, 2 Marmocchi, Cristina’s Ravioli, Malt Must, Megabono, Mag56.

During the evenings it will be possible to visit the chapter house and the ancient refectory of San Domenico; the chapter house and the chapel of San Michele in Sant’Agostino and all the paintings of the cloister of the Holy Spirit. Consumptions can be purchased with tokens at the cloister cash desks or at the Confesercenti headquarters in via Pomeria. It is possible to purchase both single dishes and packages at the price indicated in the menu.
