The number 10 owned by Feyenoord, Lazio’s concrete target in this transfer session, comes out in the open about his future
Among Lazio’s transfer targets there is always the number 10 owned by Feyenoord, Calvin Stengs, the favorite in Fabiani’s plans to replace Luis Alberto. The club has made it clear that Isaksen, who has been of interest to the Dutch since last summer, will not be included in the deal but Stengs continues to be a concrete target. Speaking on Feyenoord’s official channels, the person concerned clarified his future, underlining that he is happy in the Netherlands but not closing the door on a farewell: “I didn’t go back to Holland at all, I feel very comfortable here. And I can also stay close to my family. Now I am also a father, I am happy that my mother and father can see the child often. If you find yourself far from home it’s a little more difficult. Of course, though, if something good comes along, never say never. In short, I would be happy to take a step forward”.
The club is working to bring him to Lazio, a team against which Stengs has his fondest memories of the last season: “The best match? Feyenoord – Lazio, for how we played against them in the Champions League. The opponents were under pressure throughout the matchwe put them in difficulty. It was a sort of demonstration that we could also play at a high level, it was our best match. Even away from home against Atletico we played very well.”
