11 fires were reported yesterday in the regional territory, three of which required the intervention of the regional fleet’s aircraft:
1 – Fire in the countryside of the Municipality of Nurri, in the “Cantoneria di Nurri” area, whose extinguishment was coordinated by the staff of the Isili Forestry Corps Station assisted by the staff on board the helicopters coming from the CFVA base of Villasalto and San Cosimo. In addition to the GAUF of Cagliari, a team from the Forestas Agency, one of the Fire Brigade from Mandas and volunteers from the Civil Protection of Isili intervened. The operations to shut down the aircraft ended at 4.15pm.2– Fire in the countryside of the Municipality of Villacidro, locality “FIGUNIEDDA”, whose extinguishment was coordinated by the staff of the Villacidro Forestry Corps Station assisted by the staff on board the SuperPuma helicopter coming from the CFVA base of Fenosu and the helicopter coming from the Villasalto base. Three teams from the Forestas Agency intervened, one from the Sanluri Fire Brigade, the Civil Protection volunteers from San Gavino, Guspini and Assemini and the Barracelli from Villacidro. The operations to shut down the aircraft ended at 6.43pm
3– Fire in the countryside of the Municipality of Nuoro, “SA TROVODDA” locality, whose extinguishment was coordinated by the staff of the Forestry Corps Station of Nuoro and Orani assisted by the staff on board the helicopter coming from the CFVA base of Farcana. In addition to the GAUF of Nuoro, two teams from the Forestas Agency and one from the Nuoro Fire Brigade intervened. The operations to shut down the aircraft ended at 4.05pm.
