A union meeting at the Ministry of Health in Rome focused attention on the critical and problematic situation of the diabetology clinic of the Eboli PO.
The convocation, which took place with “exemplary speed” just four days after the note of 13 June from the UIL FPL Salerno, represents a first concrete step towards resolving the problems reported by the trade union organisation.
During the meeting, which took place the other day, Dr. Maria Rosaria Campitiello, Head of the Minister’s Technical Secretariat, showed great attention and sensitivity to the issue, demonstrating effectiveness and competence, the union highlighted. The critical issues linked to waiting lists were also discussed, obtaining reassurances and commitment for a decisive intervention.
“The meeting was fully satisfactory and constructive”, declared in a note the General Secretary UIL FPL Gennaro Falabella Provincial Coordinator UILFPL Vito Sparano highlighting at the same time the silence of the top management of ASL Salerno, of the General Director Eng. Gennaro Sosto and the Health Director Dr. Primo Sergianni.
At the same time, the trade union organization also criticized the promise of the President of the Campania Region, awaiting an authoritative, concrete intervention that will determine and resolve the issue.
Furthermore, it is necessary to reiterate, as the UIL FPL General Secretary Gennaro Falabella and the UILFPL Provincial Coordinator Vito Sparano wrote in a note, that in taking positive note of the meeting which took place at the Ministry on 17/6/2024, it is therefore hoped that all the reported difficulties regarding the management and organization of the outpatient diabetology service, because all patients, especially chronic ones, are not numbers for economic accounts or the object of balance sheets, but are people and therefore must be treated and considered as required by law .
