Plot: It is a special evening at the Savoy, one of the most exclusive hotels in Milan: fifty highly selected guests will be able to participate in the honorable Vincenzo Greco’s party to celebrate the end of the EXPO and the realization of a pharaonic road project. In the middle of the reception, however, a storm causes the power to go out, and the suite where the party is being held plunges into darkness: when the lights come back on, the gentleman is lying in the swimming pool, already a corpse. With surveillance cameras deactivated and cell phones turned off to ensure privacy for the many VIPs with many secrets, technology can do little. We need to investigate in another way: with logic, observation and intuition. We need to investigate the old fashioned way. This is why the case – very thorny, considering the victim – passes to Luca Botero, known as the Amish, the commissioner afflicted by technophobia who lives as if the world was stuck in the seventies. For the Amish it is the perfect challenge: given the dynamics of the crime, the killer can only be one of the guests, and it is precisely on them that he focuses together with his close-knit Alpha team. Between mafia infiltrations, unscrupulous entrepreneurs, political intrigues and drug trafficking, we begin to look for the culprit. Someone, however, is plotting in the shadows: he spies on the commissioner, and soon all the people close to him will be in serious danger…
