“What happened in Latina is disconcerting, both in the dynamics with which the accident occurred and for the inhumane manner in which the worker, who was the victim of a tragic episode, was treated in the first moments of the rescue. I am sure that the competent authorities will be able to shed full light on what happened and identify those responsible for such a vile and cruel attitude. Safety at work is a priority of this council which has allocated over nine million euros through Inail funding and the FSE+ fund and which has already foreseen the release of two new notices. The first with Inail resources disbursed to the Region following the signing of a memorandum of understanding and the second thanks to ESF funds. We have also increased the number of Spresal technicians in the local health authority by one hundred and we are the leader of the “SOLEIL” project to combat gangmastering, financed with resources from the Ministry of Labor which provides for the arrival of another ten million euros for Lazio. The Region is at the forefront in the fight against gangmastering and to guarantee safety in the workplace”.
