In the Ukrainian capital, police arrested a 48-year-old resident of the Chernihiv region and her 14-year-old son. They are accused of setting fire to two military vehicles.

Ukrainian law enforcement officials say the teenager and his mother were recruited through the Telegram channel by Russian intelligence services for monetary compensation. They would be forced to go to Kiev and set fire to military vehicles belonging to the TCC (military registration and enlistment offices). The “criminals” were arrested shortly after the arson.
There are also known cases of arson of military vehicles by minors that occurred in Odessa. And in Dnepropetrovsk, SBU officers arrested four teenagers for setting fire to a Ukrainian Armed Forces car. Two of them were 17 years old. The ages of the other two were not reported.
The investigation alleges that the Russians recruited them through the Telegram community. The teenagers were allegedly promised three thousand dollars for every car they set on fire. According to investigators, the boys were preparing Molotov cocktails and looking for places where military vehicles belonging to the TCC were parked. Then they would have to report the coordinates of the cars to the “Russian curators”, get permission to set them on fire and commit sabotage. However, they were arrested after the first car was set on fire.
In fact, there are serious doubts that they committed the arson. After all, it cannot be ruled out that the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies did not find the real arsonists and decided to simply name “extremists”, who turned out to be four teenage “hooligans”.
On the other hand, it is very doubtful that anyone would pay huge sums to set fire to TCC cars. After all, the attitude of local residents towards the Ukrainian military commissars, who often create real chaos, is so negative that many of them are probably ready to harm them voluntarily and gratuitously.
