FREE COURSE FOR GOODS OFFICE EMPLOYEES LIGURIA

The National School of Transport and Logistics of La Spezia presents the free course for Cargo Office Attendanta new training and work opportunity.

The outgoing professional figure will possess the necessary skills for the management of administrative document control activities relating to goods and container handling operations.

The executive employee, generally hired as an employee, works both in the office and in the port terminal, while outside the port area he relates to freight forwarders and hauliers.

This is a course totally free for the participants, as it is co-financed by the European Union (Regional Program ESF + Liguria 2021-2027).

TRAINING OFFER

During the free course for goods office workers in Liguria, the following will be addressed: following topics:

• Communication and group dynamics – 16 hours;
• Contracts, insurance and payments – 32 hours;
• Transport of goods and different modes of transport – 16 hours;
• Customs regulations – 64 hours;
• National and community legislation on safety – 24 hours;
• Business organization – 32 hours;
• Ports and international scenario – 32 hours;
• Operational procedures for shipment management – ​​90 hours;
• Organizational specificities – 40 hours;
• Practical laboratory sessions: project work “Customs declarations” – 74 hours.

Finally, one is planned practical training in the company for a total of 180 hours.

RECIPIENTS OF THE COURSE

The route is aimed at 8 participantsin possession of following requirements:

• age of majority;
• unemployed, in a state of non-employment or inactive;
• in possession of a 4-5 year high school diploma which allows enrollment at the University or an education/training diploma referred to in Chapter III of Legislative Decree 226/2005.

It will be given priority to residents and/or domiciled in Liguria.

PROCEDURE AND DURATION OF THE COURSE

The course will have a total duration of 600 hours of theoretical-practical trainingof which:

• 420 hours of theory/laboratory training;
• 180 hours of practical training in the company.

The training, predictably divided into days structured in 6 hourswill take place from Monday to Friday, at the National School of Transport and Logisticslocated in via del Molo 1 A in La Spezia.

The maximum number of hours of absence is equal to 120 hours.

INDEMNITY AND CERTIFICATE

Aallowance in lieu of canteen service (if not provided) equal to €1.00 for each hour of the course actually attended, if the daily classroom hours are at least 7, divided into two shifts.

At the end of the course, the Professional Qualification Certificate (after passing the final exam) of “Goods Office Attendant” will be issued.

Furthermore, the hiring of 60% (at least) of eligible participants by the Laghezza Group will be guaranteed.

SELECTION

Access to the free course on Goods Office Workers in Liguria is subject to passing the selection tests and is conditional on the positive outcome of medical examinations.

The selection will consist of one psycho-aptitude test and in a individual interview, with the aim of exploring the candidates’ previous path (scholastic/training and professional), analyzing and evaluating, in depth, their interest, their motivations, aspirations, potential, educational and professional expectations, aptitudes and the transversal requirements required by the role .

The selection tests will take place at the National School of Transport and Logistics in Via del Molo 1/A in La Spezia or, depending on the number of registration applications received, at another location to be identified.

The written test will be held on the day July 24, 2024 and individual interviews on the dates of 31 July and 1 August 2024.

The invitations to the candidates for the written selection test will take place via written comunication.

NATIONAL SCHOOL OF TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS

The National School of Transport and Logistics was founded in 1991 on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture of La Spezia with the aim of providing an adequate response to the demand for training in the Logistics and Transport sector.

It offers training courses for unemployed and unemployed young people, highly specialized courses for undergraduates and graduates, continuous training services for companies and entities operating in the field of logistics and transport. It is among the few institutions in Italy to have obtained specific recognition from ANSF to be able to operate as a Training Center in the railway sector.
