GENOA (ITALPRESS) – You have until July 31st to submit an application for the university scholarships provided by the Liguria Region through Aliseo for the 2024/2025 academic year. The recipients of the competition notice are students enrolled at the University of Genoa or at an AFAM (higher artistic, musical and dance education) institution in Liguria.
The announcement includes a merit requirement, i.e. an increasing number of credits based on the year of attendance, and an income requirement, with an ISEE limit for submitting the application of up to 27,726 euros and an ISPE limit of up to 60,275 euros. . All winning students are entitled to a scholarship which includes financial contributions, accommodation and catering. They also benefit from exemption from the regional tax for the right to study and university fees for attending university courses.
“Last year we provided the scholarship to all 3,620 eligible students – recalls the Liguria Region School Councilor Simona Ferro. – A global commitment of over 13 million euros to support many deserving but lack of means young people who want to attend the University of Genoa and an AFAM institute in our region. We also increase the value of individual scholarships and the number of people who will be able to apply by raising the ISEEU and ISPEEU thresholds set at national level to the maximum. This year too, increases in scholarships are expected for students with disabilities and those at a particular economic disadvantage. We confirm the increase in amounts also for girls enrolled in study courses in STEM subjects: a measure of which I am proud because the free choice of university major is one of the first steps towards truly achieving gender equality in the world of work , with particular reference to the sectors of science, engineering and technology”.
In detail, the main innovation is the increase in the value of individual scholarships compared to the 2023/2024 academic year: the amount varies, based on the student’s ISEE income and city of residence, from a minimum of 2,683 euros (280 euros more, in addition to a free daily meal) to a maximum of 7,016 euros (359 euros more, including accommodation and catering). An additional 15% of the scholarship is also given to students with an ISEEU/ISEEUP less than or equal to 50% of the maximum reference limit of 13,863 euros. Female students enrolled in study courses in STEM subjects and all students enrolled in multiple study courses at the same time can request 20% more than the expected amount. Students with disabilities are awarded 40% more.
Students can apply on the Aliseo website (aliseo.liguria.it). SPID credentials (level II) or CIE are required for students requesting benefits for the right to university study for the academic year for the first time. 2024/2025. These credentials are not required for minor students and students who do not have Italian citizenship and a valid Italian identity document. Freshmen can apply by pre-enrolment only.
