TRENT. The new synthetic grass covering at Briamasco, approved for Serie B, will be available within the first few days of the next football season. It emerged in the municipal budget commission, with the date of 30 September 2024 indicating the (indicative) end of the works.

The financial coverage is guaranteed by the 1.5 million euros allocated by the Province in agreement with the Municipality of Trento.

«We also foresee the construction of the training “cage” at Briamasco and the gym, to be built by 30 June 2025», said the municipal sports councilor Salvatore Panetta. The municipal company Asis will launch the tender for the construction of the works.

The director of Asis Claudio Alì outlined the characteristics of the new synthetic grass covering: «It will be made of eco-sustainable FIFA certified grass. The field can be used 365 days a year. If it snows, the snow can be left to melt, whereas now with the natural field, the snow must be disposed of, this is also an element that allows for significant savings.” With an intervention aimed at increasing the capacity of the stands, to bring them to 5500 spectators, Serie B matches could be held there.

The PalaTrento is also undergoing major renovations: 1.8 million have already been allocated for the adaptation of the hospitality section, the renovation of the parquet and the sound system: completion of the work is scheduled for early autumn 2024. The seats previously placed in the PalaTrento stands have already been moved and are now installed at other playing fields, such as that of Meano. Renovations are also in sight for the baseball and cricket pitch: 900 thousand euros will be allocated for three batting tunnels, bathrooms, floodlights and stands. Fa. Pe.
