The soldiers of the Carabinieri – those of the city administration of Favara were also present – had received a report for unauthorized sorting of municipal solid waste. Yesterday, near the municipal swimming pool in the Pioppo district, there was a brush fire and the firefighters of the provincial command of Agrigento intervened. It is not excluded – but there is no confirmation of any kind – that the report regarding the unsorted waste may have come from the firefighters themselves.
