The Lazio transfer market is going through a moment of uncertainty regarding the negotiations with Feyenoord for the arrival of Calvin Stengs. According to what was reported by Il Messaggero, the situation could get complicated due to the high demands of the Dutch club. Stengs has long been identified as the ideal replacement for Luis Alberto, but his arrival in Rome is far from a given.

Lazio transfer market – Feyenoord’s requests for Stengs

Feyenoord have set a rather high price for the transfer of Calvin Stengs, asking for a figure between 20 and 25 million euros. Furthermore, the Dutch club has expressed interest in including Isaksen in the negotiation. This adds a further level of complexity to the negotiations, considering Lazio’s reluctance to sell the young talent.

Lazio’s position

Lotito and Fabiani would be reluctant to include Isaksen in the deal. In fact, selling the player outside Italy would mean losing the tax benefits provided for by the Growth Decree, a factor that the Biancoceleste management considers of primary importance. This decree allows Italian clubs to reduce the costs relating to the wages of foreign players, see the latest Dia deal which is about to go through, making it economically advantageous to retain talents like the Dane.
