Yesterday morning, in the Municipal Palace in Figline Incisa Valdarno, there was a symbolic passing of the baton between the former mayor Giulia Mugnai and the one who will become mayor in a few days, Valerio Pianigiani, who at the end of last Monday’s vote he won the run-off for the local elections, beating his competitor Silvio Pittori. Giulia Mugnai thus closes her ten-year administrative period and has had significant words towards her successor. “This morning, as I symbolically passed the baton to Valerio Pianigiani – she said – my heart was bursting with emotion and gratitude. Valerio is a man capable of listening, creating bonds with people, staying close to the most vulnerable. He’s already been doing it all his life. He will be a mayor who will know how to take care of our city.”
