The under 17 of Cjarlins Muzane gives himself a triumphal Sunday by managing to impose himself on theAlcyone, Lombard superpower of youth football, winning the first semi-final of the National Phase 3-2. A success that fills the Friulian coach with satisfaction Mauro Cossettini:
“I’m very satisfied, for the boys and because they played an extraordinary performance, especially from a mental point of view; they didn’t give up an inch, giving their heart to every ball. Beyond the technical-tactical situations, we had organized ourselves very well; in addition to the work done throughout the year, this week we spent 6 days on the pitch, taking care of every detail, and today the detail made the difference. We conceded during part of the second half, but for the rest I think that we unequivocally legitimized the result. Even the water balloon received at the end of the race makes me proud of these guys, who are a real team!
After an almost perfect first half, Alcione came out in the second half, imposing constant pressure, carefully countered by the Friulian defensive wall:
“In the first half we gave a lot. We had studied their defensive arrangement well on dead balls and we knew how to hurt. We succeeded, but right from the start of the match we started strong, not just from set pieces. The whole team had to develop the defensive phase and for this reason in the second half my attackers, to whom I particularly applaud, paid for a drop in energy. There were twenty minutes of decline, which is predictable when playing against one of the strongest teams in Italy. At that point we switched to 5-3-2; the strategy rewarded us and even when we were outnumbered we didn’t give up. Now we celebrate, but from Tuesday we start again with the utmost humility and concentration on work, because only in this way will we be able to achieve what we define as our dream, but dreams sometimes come true…”.
The two goals conceded made the performance less perfect, but the biggest regret was the expulsion of Dominick Perelli in the final minutes of the match. An absence that will weigh on the preparation for the match against Affrico:
“Perelli he is a very important element, a boy who has great qualities, but before I talked about the team; so I’m sure that whoever replaces him will do well, as has already happened in other matches. We are a team and we want to reach the Final as a team. We will continue to take care of the details, as done in view of theAlcyone: we divided the works by sectors and then, in the last two days, we grouped all the works together, and this gave us excellent feedback. I think the group worked at very high levels to achieve these results and I congratulate my boys, who are the real actors.”
The postcard of the match is represented by the celebration of the Cjarlins Muzane players on the occasion of the third goal, applauded behind them by the president Vincenzo Zanutta:
“It seemed to me that I was reliving the great celebrations celebrated in the years spent in Carlino; parties that were missed this season. When the referee called the final whistle I was on fire, like in the good times. These guys gave everything and beat a super team likeAlcyone. I feel immense joy, beyond what will be the continuation, given that a further obstacle awaits us in order to access the final, but let’s enjoy this day, because these boys have demonstrated a level-headedness and caliber that testifies to how Friuli does not is behind no one in amateur football.”
A compliment extended to the work of coach Cossettini, who continues to keep the rope tight, while the club thinks about how to organize the Tuscan away match next weekend:
“We are used to going around Italy, therefore, thanks to our secretary, it will not be a problem to organize the trip down to the smallest details. We discovered the coach last year in Carlino, and he is a figure who puts his soul into this sport. He really gives everything to the boys to be able to achieve similar results. He is on the front line and seems to be the twelfth man on the pitch. I hope that Carlino will have a very long journey of creating these young people, who we dream of being able to see in our First Team one day. This was the last match of the year at the “Della Ricca” and with today we hope to rekindle the flame of Cjarlins Muzanewho aspires to continue playing in Serie D.”
