Milan, 16 June 2024 – Escape from Beccaria: the second fugitive was also captured. The boy, a sixteen-year-old Moroccan, ran away from walking courtyard last Friday, it was spotted near the prison entrance by the concierge agent. He was immediately picked up by Penitentiary Police personnel and taken back to the facility where he was detained.

From the first hours following the escape they were searched the areas where the prisoners could have sought hospitality. Beccaria operators had also set up patrols and checks in the streets near the institute. The two prisoners had escaped on the afternoon of Friday 14th from the walking courtyard, climbing over the courtyard wall and the surrounding wall without too much difficulty. The first fugitive, also a sixteen-year-old Moroccan, was caught shortly after midnight on the day of the escape, on a train stopped at the station in Garbagnate. The carabinieri of Cesate’s company had identified him. The prison police are also on site.
