Serious road accident during the night along the Cilentana, between the Agropoli north and south interchanges, three people were injured, including a little girl. The accident, which occurred around 2.30 am, involved three cars: a Fiat 500 L, a Jeep Renegade and an Audi. The impact was extremely violent, so much so that the Audi broke through the guardrail and remained suspended on the side of the road, risking ending up on the parallel Via Togliatti.

A 35-year-old from Battipaglia suffered serious trauma to his limbs and was pulled from the wreckage thanks to the intervention of firefighters from the Agropoli detachment. The man was transported in code red to the “San Luca” hospital in Vallo della Lucania by the Agropoli Red Cross ambulance as was a 20-year-old girl from Castellammare di Stabia. A little girl was also rescued but her condition was not serious.

The findings of the accident were carried out by the Carabinieri of the Agropoli Company. The military is working to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident and ascertain any responsibilities.
The accident caused traffic disruption on the SP430, which remained closed until this morning to allow for rescue operations and the removal of the damaged vehicles.
