FERMIGNANO Terrible crash in Fermignano in via Luigi Falasconi, at number 68, between a small car and a motocross in which the young motorcyclist lost his life. The victim is Emiliano Pimpanini, 21 years old, resident in Canavaccio di Urbino, who died at the regional hospital of Torrette di Ancona due to the serious injuries sustained.
The accident occurred yesterday at 12 at the methane station and the “Dolce Sosta” bar, on a stretch of road 300 meters from Bivio Borzaga where several collisions have occurred in the past, some tragic. The dynamics of the road accident are being examined by the traffic police. The Carabinieri also intervened while the local police of the Mountain Union blocked the straight road in both directions for rescue operations and legal investigations.
The 21-year-old, resident in Canavaccio, was riding his Motard motorbike heading towards Fermignano when he collided with a Fiat Panda which was proceeding in the same direction. According to what was possible to detect at the scene of the tragedy, the driver of the car probably turned left to enter the service area while the young man was preparing to overtake. The very violent impact with the Panda occurred on the driver’s side, the 21-year-old with the motorbike flew into the air, overtaking the car and falling onto the side curb of the road.
Emiliani Pimpanini was quickly helped by the 118 paramedics. According to the testimonies of those present, he was not conscious. Given the injuries reported, the intervention of the air ambulance was requested for timely transport to the regional hospital where Emiliano died in the early afternoon with the doctors doing everything they could to save him from death.
So, yet another road tragedy that happened shortly before returning home for lunch. Investigators took images from a camera in the area to check whether the incident was filmed. During these operations, traffic was diverted onto other roads. The Urbino Public Prosecutor’s Office will open an investigation into the fatal accident to ascertain any responsibility for the crime of road homicide.
The mayor of Urbino, Maurizio Gambini, followed the evolution of the story yesterday, knowing very well both the Pimpanini family and the Garbugli family of the mother Silvia, who manages the “L’Aquilone” piadineria with her husband Giacomo in the Lavagine area while the uncles Emiliano’s maternal parents, Giovanni and Giacomo, have a bar, the “Sugar”, in via Giro dei Debitori.
«A terrible tragedy – said Gambini -. The news of Emiliano’s tragic passing saddens me deeply. Such a serious fact also affects our entire community. We are close to his family, to whom my personal condolences and that of the entire municipal administration go out.”
The other mayoral candidate Federico Scaramucci also expressed «the deepest condolences for the death of the young Emiliano. I know well – he said – the Pimpanini and Garbugli families, warm-hearted families who have always spent themselves for the community.”
