Fear in the Prati district in the late afternoon yesterday, due to yet another fire on the pavements that broke out in a row of bins.
According to the first testimonies, a strong smell of burning and the first signs of black smoke came from the intersection between Via dei Gracchi and Via Paolo Emilio, in a densely inhabited area full of commercial establishments, which were still open when the fire broke out. took shape in unsorted waste containers.
From that moment on, a disaster of high flames and thick toxic smoke that invaded the streets triggered a call to the Single Emergency Number 112.
Fire Brigade and Law Enforcement on site, in a long intervention started at 6.30pm to put out the fire that had taken hold in the queue of containers as many as five unsorted bins where everything was burned just a few meters from businesses and homes.
Fortunately, they were not injured or intoxicated, while the police intervened on site to immediately search for triggers. As in other cases, it could be the external video surveillance of some activity that helps in verifying suspicious movements around the row of bins.
There is little doubt that this time too it could be an arson episode. The men from the Prati Police Station are handling the investigations.
