CASSANO MAGNAGO – The trucks are ready, the kitchens on wheels are open, the scents of distant countries – but also of home – are already in the air. The Street Food Parade returns to Cassano Magnago. One of the most anticipated events of the year animates the Magana Parkcombining sociality, street food and the icing on the cake that is now traditional: the silent disco. The eighth edition of the festival is underway.
An increasingly rich festival
We leave this evening, June 14th. The gates open from 6pm and throughout the weekend – tomorrow again from 6pm and Sunday from 11am – the trucks will be there to welcome the thousands of people expected. Organizes the cultural association Le Officine with the support of the municipal administration. «Let’s move forward with a collaboration that is increasingly important», the words of the councilor Alessandro Passuello (Culture). «We are ready for a three-day celebration. The guys from Officine have created an event that Every year it gets bigger and bigger: it was a novelty in the area at the beginning, today it is a consolidated event that is becoming increasingly richer.” It’s still: “We are satisfied and prepared, also from a safety point of view. But what does the Street Food Parade offer? A vast selection of traditional dishesprepared by gourmet chefs on board trucks coming from all over Italy. A menu designed for all tastes: Piedmontese Fassona hamburgers, Abruzzo sheep’s kebabs, mixed fried seafood or Sicilian cannoli. But also more international specialties revisited by Italian trucks such as the Brazilian picanha, Mexican burritos and Indian specialties. Here’s who will be there: Bee Caesar (Roman style hamburger), A on sattu (typical Sardinian sandwiches with pork, Sardinian cheeses and cured meats, seadas and myrtle), Arts (Piedmontese Fassona hamburger), Zucchiati (Abruzzo sheep roasts), The gnoco place (fried dumplings and mixed cured meats), The cannoli (Sicilian cannoli), Panzerotti Baresi (fried and baked panzerotti and calzones), Picanha’s Cube (traditional Brazilian picanha served with typical fried plantain chips), Awake (Mexican specialties: burritos, tacos, nachos, Mmexican), Masala (Indian specialties), Pan Pan (gourmet hamburger), Apolpinface (fish specialities), Billi’s (Maremmana hamburger).
All activities
Others are also planned activities related to entertainment, gaming and aggregation for adults and children. And tomorrow evening it will also be possible to watch the national team match, Italy-Albania will be screened from 9pm.
