The third season of Bridgerton it’s not just there compelling parable of a winning underdog, the events that took place outside the set are equally tasty. The interpreter of Penelope, the Irish Nicola Coughlan (the irresistible Claire of Derry Girls) she responded in kind to anyone, in the press or on social media, who dared to criticize her appearance: beautiful, blonde, curvy, silky complexion, actual 37 years old but apparent 20, she has been repeatedly targeted for her weight. Coughlan demanded the inclusion of a nude scene (evocative of a famous scene from Titanic) in the fifth episode and during press activities she incinerated a journalist who called her “courageous” for showing off her curves, boasting about the perfection of her breasts. That’s how it’s done. Even more notable is the producer’s decision BridgertonShonda Rhimes’s Grey’s Anatomy, to distance oneself from some narrative choices of the source. Specifically, in novelsPenelope first loses weight and then conquers love. Rhimes underlined how inappropriate this step wassparking a lively discussion about body positivity off the screen which made this third season more bubbly.
