The role of active citizenship in the development of Genoa is at the center of a conference with national and international speakers entitled Genoa Common Good. What future for the city scheduled on the days of Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June 2024 at the Montale Auditorium of Carlo Felice Theatre of Genoa organized by the active citizenship group Areté of Genoa with the participation of the Genoese Committees Network.

During the conference the concept of. is developed through the analysis of some important themes ‘right to the city’, in particular the role that tourism, work, immigration, greenery and education will have in the future of Genoa will be discussed. On this occasion, the formation of a Urban observatory made up of representatives of committees, cultural, artistic, environmental and trade associations, trade unions, schools and universities. The observatory could indicate to public administrations experiences and practices of active participation so that the city’s transformations take place through the implementation of shared projects.
