TRENT. Road tragedy this morning in the Fiemme valley: one person lost his life following a collision involving a car and a heavy vehicle.
The alarm went off shortly after 9am, near Masi di Cavalese, along provincial road 232: the victim is an 88-year-old man who, according to initial information, was traveling in a Fiat Panda. After the crash, the truck went off the road.
Medical workers immediately rushed to the scene and, given the condition of the driver of the car, they also alerted the Trentino Emergenza air ambulance.
Unfortunately, attempts to resuscitate the elderly man were useless, as the injuries sustained in the collision, which occurred near a roundabout, were too serious.
At the moment there is no information available on the dynamics of the incident. The investigations were carried out by traffic police officersto reconstruct the causes of the dramatic accident.
Help also arrived by ambulance and medical car, with the support of the volunteer firefighters of the area, who then also took care of road rehabilitation.
Traffic remained temporarily paralyzed during first aid operations and the removal of vehicles.
