This morning (Tuesday June 11th) The mayor Roberto Dipiazza received in the Blue Living Room the spousesyes Annamaria and Luciano Luciani, that they have recently topurchased 116 valuable works of Trieste painting, intended to be sold at auction, to donate them to the Municipality of Trieste. The cordial meeting was also attended by the municipal councilor for Culture and Tourism Policies Giorgio Rossi And Manuela Declichmunicipal councilor And president of the Curatorium of the Revoltella Museum.
The mayor Roberto Dipiazza thanked the Luciani spouses for the generous donation and declared: “I consider it essential that donations extraordinary like this they go in favor of the city cared for and enhanced. With councilor Giorgio Rossi we agreed on the actions to give the right highlight your generous gesture. It is truly an honor and a pride that Trieste has citizens like you.”
He then intervened the municipal councilor for Culture and Tourism Policies Giorgio Rossi: “A few weeks ago I received it with immense joy by the former superintendent Andrea Pessina the news of this enormous gift for the city. What struck me in particular was the simplicity of the gesture with which Annamaria and Luciano Luciani they accomplished this sextraordinary act of patronage. At the end of the meeting Mayor Roberto Dipiazza handed over to Annamaria and Luciano Luciani the official coat of arms of the city.
