Udine, 1 July – The Region kicks off this week the series of meetings on tools and resources available to increase businesses in the agricultural sector, starting from the meeting on Friday 5 July in Cordenons.

This was announced by the regional councilor for agri-food, forestry and fisheries resources Stefano Zannier who explains the initiative with the aim of “giving entrepreneurs awareness of tools and resources to grow and remain competitive”.

The opportunities that the Region offers to protect the primary production system, the landscape and biodiversity will be the focus of the public meeting organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Cordenons, scheduled for July 5 at 6 pm in the council chamber in the Aldo Moro cultural center in via Traversagna, 4.

“With this meeting – explained Zannier – we intend to bring to the attention of companies in the agri-food sector present and active in the Western Friuli area all the tools and huge resources that the Region makes available for the growth of the production system in dimensional and qualitative terms” .

“Even within the framework of the new agricultural policy of the European Union (CAP) – he added – it is important that our entrepreneurs know how to orient themselves better and better, seize development and investment opportunities quickly, knowing that these are found in a which will call them to be increasingly attentive and aware of issues such as environmental and social sustainability and the protection of the landscape and biodiversity.”

The meeting will open with greetings from the mayor of the Municipality of Cordenons Andrea Delle Vedove which will be followed by other institutional interventions and some technical contributions from the Biodiversity Service of the Regional Central Directorate of Agri-food, Forestry and Fish Resources relating to “Opportunities of the PS PAC 2023- 2027 for the creation and management of landscape elements with environmental purposes” and the project for the “Creation of an information system of natural capital and ecosystem services in the agricultural and forestry sector”. Finally, the Cellina Meduna Reclamation Consortium will curate a focus on “Ecological infrastructures and water management in modern agriculture”. ARC/SSA/al
