While the search continues unabated for the last missing person in Premariacco (UD) and for the man who fell into the sea this night in the area of Pier IV in Trieste, searches in which the soldiers of the Port Authority of Trieste also participate, the requests for urgent technical rescue interventions due to the wave of bad weather that is raging in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
From midnight on Tuesday 12 June, to 12 noon there have been 161 interventions carried out by the firefighters of the region; 138 in the territory of the Udine command, 12 in Trieste, 2 in Gorizia and 9 in Pordenone.
The requests waiting to be processed at 12pm were 58 in Udine, 8 in Trieste, 3 in Gorizia and 3 in Pordenone. To meet the requests, all the commands in the region have recalled extraordinarily personnel free from duty and to the Udine command the following were sent in support: a team from the Gorizia command, a mobile crane, an aerial platform and a team from the Trieste command and a ladder truck from the Belluno fire brigade command.
Update at 8am on Tuesday 12 June
There are 250 urgent technical rescue operations, attributable to bad weather, carried out by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Fire Brigade in the last 24 hours, from 8am on Monday 10 June.
Of these, 134 were carried out in the territory of the Udine command, 60 in that of the Trieste command, 50 in Pordenone and 6 in Gorizia.
Flooding and fallen trees kept firefighters busy throughout Monday and into the following night.
This morning, Tuesday 11 June, the situation has returned to normal in almost all the commands in the region, only at the Udine command there are still around forty calls due to bad weather pending.
