Sanremo. Walter Vacchinoowner of Ariston theatre of Sanremo together with her sister Carlareceived the Premio Malafemmena 2024 in Naples, last Tuesday 11 June, for his book “Ariston. The magic box of Sanremo” written together with Luca Ammirati and published by Salani.

Conceived and curated by the journalist Barbara Carere with the patronage of the Tourism Department of the Municipality of Naples and this year in its 20th edition, the Malafemmena is the only award dedicated to the great Totò recognized by the De Curtis family, starting with Liliana De Curtis, daughter of the unforgettable Neapolitan artist. The award was presented to Vacchino during a gala evening held in the Gold Tower Lifestyle Hotel, hosted by Barbara Carere and Max Giannini, speaker of Radio Kiss Kiss. Other winners include the director of Novella 2000 Roberto Alessi, the rapper Moreno, the singer AKA 7even, Audio 2, some actresses from the successful series “Mare Fuori”, as well as prominent personalities from the world of entertainment and entrepreneurship , medicine, cinema and fashion.

The appreciation of critics and readers at a national level therefore continues for “Ariston. The magic box of Sanremo”, the book that recounts more than sixty years of entertainment, revealing the stories and secrets of the most famous theater in Italy, written by Walter Vacchino together with Luca Ammirati, writer and head of the Ariston press room.

Released in bookstores in January, after the premiere held at the Ariston theatre, the volume was presented in Florence in a meeting led by the new artistic director of the Festival Carlo Conti, in Milan in the presence of Maestro Peppe Vessicchio, in Fontanafredda at the Mirafiore Foundation together with Oscar Farinetti and Al Bano, in Turin both in the rooms of the Gallerie d’Italia and at the International Book Fair, in the Rai production center in Naples at the invitation of the director Antonio Parlati, as well as during the Sanremo Festival in all the main broadcasts Rai in-depth analysis of the event, from “Uno Mattina” to “I Fatti Vostri”, passing through “La volta buon” by Caterina Balivo and “Milleeunlibro: Scrittori in tv” by Gigi Marzullo.
