Hyundai Tucson 2024, restyling inside: prices in Italy

HYUNDAI TUCSON RESTYLING

Among the C-suv projects of the generalist brands, Hyundai Tucson wins the prize for dynamism and sportiness of the design. In Europe, Jato Dynamics data in hand, it was the best-selling model in 2022 and 2023, in the compact SUV segment.

The conditions for continuing well in the second phase of the life cycle are all there. Said of the renewed style of the alloy wheels and protective plate-like elements applied to the bumpers, it is inside that Hyundai reveals the total rethinking of style and arrangement of elements.

INTERIOR

The restyling convinces, it does so by developing the dashboard with horizontal lineshighlighted by the band dedicated to the climate vents, full width as well as a separating element between the climate control controls, touch controls, those of the secondary functions and, in the upper part, the element that contains the instruments and infotainment.

It completely changes the arrangement of the elements on the tunnel, which houses one induction charging space, storage compartments and physical controls for adjustments related to the set-up. Goodbye to gear selectors with buttons inserted on the tunnelthe 2024 Hyundai Tucson facelift relocates the controls to a satellite behind the wheel, also redesigned and with sporty three-spoke shapes, instead of the four-spoke solution. The details of the USB-C sockets on the dashboard are, in fact, nuances, compared to the reorganization of the dashboard by horizontal lines, compared to the central cascade arrangement, typical of the Tucson currently on the market.

INFOTAINMENT

Two 12.3-inch screens make up the instrumentation and infotainment, Supervision present as standard and complete with connected services. One of the new features of the renewed Tucson is the possibility of over-the-air updates, to receive new functions and software releases throughout the life of the car.

ENGINES

Among the engines, it was the version full hybrid the protagonist in Tucson sales in Italy. A proposal confirmed and supported by a fully electrified range. From the plug-in hybrid with the same thermal base, the 1.6-liter turbo petrol and 6-speed automatic transmission, to the two petrol and diesel mild hybrids. Also 1.6 litres, they adopt a different transmission, double clutch or manual (in the case of the Tucson mhev 1.6 petrol). An offer that also includes four-wheel drive versions: the only possible option for the Tucson PHEV, it is an alternative to two-wheel drive in the case of the full hybrid engine.

FITTINGS

It arrives on the Italian market in four versions, starting from the XTech level with equipment suited to the profile of the SUV. XTech can be combined with the 160 horsepower mild hybrid petrol version and the full hybrid. Business and Excellence are the only two alternatives that can be combined with the Tucson mhev diesel. The full hybrid engine, however, is offered in all trim levels, including the N Line. The latter follows the Exellence equipment but in a sporty stylistic key. Exclusively in the two top trim levels (Exellence and N Line) is the Tucson PHEV proposal.

ADAS

The standard equipment, already rich from XTech, includes among the Adas the Hyundai Smart Sense, i.e.: active lane maintenance, automatic high beam headlights, detection of driver fatigue. To continue with frontal collision avoidance. Obviously, basic cruise control is also standard.

In Business trim we find the most balanced equipment in relation to the price. Tucson integrates Smart Cruise Control and operational emergency braking even at intersections, as well as Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (it is an active BSM, which corrects the trajectory to avoid an accident while changing lanes). In addition, the height adjustment of the front seats and lumbar support are also part of the standard equipment. The climate control becomes dual-zone, unlike the automatic mono climate of the XTech setup. In the Excellence version, space for the climate with 3 control zones.

Among the optional packages, the 2,600 euro Premium Pack includes panoramic roof, Digital Key, Level 2 assistance on the motorway. Furthermore, autonomous and anti-collision parking, as well as the possibility of control via app.
