66.84% of voters. Only 46.6% vote for the European elections. FdI first party in the region

Fratelli d’Italia grows, but also Pd and Avs. League overtaken by FI

Brothers of Italy is growing, remaining the first party everywhere, but the Democratic Party and the Green-Left Alliance are also rising, while the M5s is declining. The League is doing better, but is overtaken by Forza Italia which is actually the second party in the province of Latina, overtaking the Dems. These are the first results of the European Championships in Lazio, when over 3,700 sections out of 5,314 were scrutinized. Most of the data not yet received are from Rome city, when the latest update from the Interior Ministry – at 6.35 in the morning – indicates just over 1,000 sections out of 2,599 have been scrutinized. Turnout was low: compared to a national average of 49.69, in Lazio 46.66% of voters voted. At the last elections in 2022 the figure was over 64%, and also at the 2019 European elections the Region’s turnout was higher: 53.32%. The 50% threshold was exceeded in the provinces of Rieti (58.39), Viterbo (55.70) and Frosinone (53.04). The province of Rome is below the regional average, 45.09, and Rome city is even lower, at 43.58% compared to 48.91 in 2019. However, compared to the results of the parties, net of the missing sections, FdI confirms itself as the most voted list in Lazio, currently at 34th,77%, and indeed gains positions compared to the 2022 policies (Senate for reference), when it obtained 31.45%. The Democratic Party is also on the rise, now at 20.83 against 18.38 in 2022 (but down on the previous European Championships, 23.79). The one who goes down is the M5s, which currently exceeds 10% (10.59) but loses around 4 points compared to the policies and 7 on the latest European elections. Fourth party in Lazio is FI, with 8.45 (which in the province of Latina is even 16.48): well compared to the 2022 elections and the 2019 European elections, when in both cases the Azzurri took above 6.6. The League is currently behind, at 7.61, better than the 6.11 of the political elections, but much lower than the exploit of the 2019 European elections, when the Carroccio was the first party in Lazio and received 32.66. Flattering result for Avs, with a 7.28 which essentially doubles the 3.88 of two years ago. The “Third Pole” area instead sees the United States of Europe at 3.69 and Action at 2.79. In 2022 Action and IV together took 8.53 and +Europa 3.32. The radicals of +E took 3.06 in the 2019 European elections.
