A fire broke out in the Burger King restaurant in Viale Regione Siciliana, near the Via Belgio roundabout, in Palermo. The flames apparently broke out in the kitchens of the fast food restaurant. Several teams from the provincial fire brigade command are intervening.
Several ambulances arrived. At the moment the health workers are helping a young woman who was intoxicated by smoking. Shutdown operations are currently underway.
The investigations into the fire in via Piazzi
Investigations underway in Palermo into a fire that damaged a fruit and vegetable shop in via Giuseppe Piazzi in Palermo, a stone’s throw from via Dante. The firefighters intervened to put out the flames set on several cartons and rubbish found in front of the shutter of the business.

Fear in Via Quinta Casa
Fear near the port of Palermo. A fire broke out in Via Quinta Casa, a side street that connects via dell’Arsenale to via dei Cantieri. The episode would have occurred between 8.30 and 9 in the morning. An apparently abandoned two-storey building was engulfed in flames. The fire broke out inside the ground floor. According to an initial reconstruction, the fire started from piles of rubbish inside the building. The causes that triggered the flames are unknown. The state police together with the firefighters are investigating the incident.
Structure suffered several damages
The 115 staff first put out the fire inside the building. Subsequently, some firefighters, using a circular saw, cut the railings and sheets placed in front of the window. A large quantity of black smoke escaped from it and immediately dispersed into the air. Residents of the area were forced to lock themselves in their homes, barring their windows. The structure suffered several damages due to the flames that spread inside. A 118 ambulance was also on site. The paramedics were treating a lady in her sixties who was probably intoxicated by smoke.
