SAN BENEDETTO – It started yesterday and continues uninterruptedly until Sunday 8 September. It’s the long season of baywatch work. The “angels in red vests” returned to watch over the safety of swimmers and it started with a bang. In fact, thanks to the particularly hot temperatures, yesterday the beach was as crowded as in the height of summer. The sea rescue service is operational from 10am to 6pm; there are 29 lifeguards present along the San Benedetto coast. During the season, the baywatchers will also give their support in carrying out aquatic events. First on the agenda: the “Miglio Marino” swimming competition, scheduled for June 22 (6 pm) in the stretch of sea in front between concessions 66 and 109.
