Tears and emotion. It’s mourning at Giambattista Vico middle schools in Milan (Vialba district) for the death of Armando Mainardi, 47 years old, PE teacher. The teacher fell ill on Friday morning while he was at school. Colleagues called for help, but there was nothing that could be done.
Mainardi, originally from Salerno, had moved a year ago to teach at the middle school in via Val Lagarina, with an annual substitute job. He had confided in his colleagues nostalgia for his familyhis wife and 5-year-old daughter, who remained in Campania.
This morning, Saturday, students and parents organized a meeting in front of the school for a moment of remembrance and condolence. «The whole community had the opportunity to get to know his personal and professional qualities and to cultivate feelings of esteem for him. We join in the family’s grief.” say colleagues.
