ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Lazio regional council, chaired by the president, Francesco Rocca, on the proposal of the councilor for the Budget, Economic Planning, Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Hunting and Fishing, Parks and Forests, Giancarlo Righini, and the councilor for Public Works, Reconstruction Policies, Roads and Infrastructures, Manuela Rinaldi, approved the 2024-2026 three-year program of public works. The Lazio Region has provided resources of over 392 million euros necessary for the implementation of the interventions. The total figure is the sum of the amounts foreseen for the three years: over 85 million euros for the first year, approximately 137 million euros for the second year and approximately 170 million euros for the third year. The interventions, which will affect the provinces of Lazio, concern both new constructions and the ordinary or extraordinary maintenance of road, railway or soil protection works. Such as the implementation of urbanization works in the PEEP area in the sub-area of via America Latina, in Frosinone, which concern the construction of roads, public green areas, car parks and services; the Tirrenica cycle route for the completion of the route from the municipality of Fiumicino to Santa Marinella; the restoration, energy requalification and functional and seismic adaptation of the monumental complex of the Castle of Santa Severa; the energy requalification works and the seismic adaptation of the headquarters of the Council and the President of the Lazio Region in via Cristoforo Colombo in Rome; regulatory and seismic adaptation and ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the Rome-Viterbo railway; the Cisterna-Valmontone road connection, including connection works in the area.
“The approval of the three-year public works plan is yet another demonstration that thanks to correct use of public funds and timely planning of interventions, important results can be achieved. A virtuous planning from which the citizens who finally benefit are the ones who finally see the realization of works that until now have remained only on paper”, declared the councilor for Budget, Economic Planning, Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Hunting and Fishing, Parks and Forests of the Lazio Region, Giancarlo Righini. “The Lazio Region once again expresses its closeness to the territories with the approval of the three-year program of public works. We are talking about interventions necessary for the redevelopment of the provinces of Lazio: extra help that our administration wants to give to local entities for completion and safety works or even investing in new projects.
