Sixth day of searches along the Natisone to find the 25-year-old Cristian Casiar Molnarwho has been missing since Friday afternoon after being overwhelmed by the flood of the river together with Patrizia Cormos And Bianca Doros.

This afternoon a religious ceremony is planned, with an Orthodox and Catholic rite, to close the funeral home, set up at the funeral home near the San Vito cemetery in Udine.

At the headquarters of the Red Cross in Orsaria di Premariacco, the base camp remains set up for the coordination of Cristian’s searches, which even today involve eighty people, including firefighters and volunteers from the Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia with helicopters, drones and various boats , specific for this type of operation. The research area has been extended: a large area of the Natisone is inspected up to its entrance into the Torre which, in turn, is a tributary of the Isonzo. Dog units also took to the field to find Cristian. Also following the operations since last Friday on site is Radu, Cristian’s older brother, who arrived from Austria, where he lives and who in recent days is being helped by the local Romanian community.

Many people, not only acquaintances of the victims or their families, are bringing flowers and messages to the site of the tragedy, just as many went to the funeral home between yesterday and today to say goodbye to the two young people. Bianca and Patrizia wear a wedding dress, as per Orthodox tradition. The funeral ceremony will take place at 4pm. Then the two bodies will be repatriated to Romania, according to the family’s wishes. The funeral will be held here.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Udine has proclaimed city mourning for today, when the religious farewell for the two girls will be held. The mayor of Udine, who signed the measure, believes that the city feels particularly close to the drama of the families of Patrizia Cormos and Bianca Doros. In fact, the first young woman attended the Tiepolo Academy of Fine Arts and was a model student, while the second was visiting her parents, who lived in the city. The request coming from the Municipality is to respect and honor the memory of the two girls and the pain of their families, in particular in the difficult hours of saying goodbye to the two young people.
