On the afternoon of Monday 3 June, the Carispezia Foundation organized the meeting “Win – Inclusive Welfare” to present the activities and results of the project Integrations and interventions financed by the tender The community for its elderly. The president of the Foundation spoke at the event Andrea Corradinothe expert in social planning Giorgio SordelliAnd Ulpiana Kocollariassociate professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, who conducted the analyzes and evaluations of the projects.

These two initiatives aim at work and social inclusion through different methodologies implemented by the Foundation: one own design in collaboration with public, private and third sector bodies, in the case of Integrations, and a thematic call aimed at the Third Sector and public bodies to respond to the needs of the elderly population. The projects, financed in the welfare sector the first of the Foundation in terms of amount of resources used they are united by the final objective of contributing to improving the living conditions of people with different forms of fragility.

The aim of the “Win – Inclusive Welfare” meeting was to bring out the monitoring and analysis process carried out on the various initiatives, highlighting the importance not only of investing resources to support community support activities, but also of evaluating the outcome, the results and the impact generated on the territory.

Integrationsborn thanks to the memorandum of understanding signed in 2016 by the Carispezia Foundation with Caritas Diocesana La Spezia – Sarzana – Brugnato, Cinque Terre National Park, Confagricoltura and Italian Farmers Confederation, today involves around 80 partners and offers socio-work integration paths in different fields: agriculture, viticulture, restoration of dry stone walls, land maintenance, boating and catering. Between 2016 and 2023, 600 interviews, 106 training courses, 650 training courses, 207 job grants and internships were carried out, and two social enterprises were created: Il Cedro and Il Sicomoro. On average, around 100 people participated in the training courses annually, 80 signed fixed-term contracts and 35 permanent contracts.

The announcement “The community for its elderly” has financed six projects carried out by public-private partnerships, which have strengthened the network of aid and services for the elderly in the province of La Spezia and Lunigiana, involving over 30 partners and 900 beneficiaries. 100% of the projects created synergies in the area between different actors, 67% raised awareness on the topic, 33% promoted further aggregation activities and 50% favored interventions to enhance the places of the actions.

During the meeting, videos were shown with the testimonies of the protagonists of the projects, visible on the Foundation’s social channels and on www.fondazionecarispezia.it, where it is also possible to delve deeper into the evaluation of the initiatives in a dedicated section.
