MANTOVA Beautiful day of sport on the “Barlera” field in Strada Bosco Virgiliano, theater of the Matteo Guerreschi Tournament.
The Trophy was won by Pergoletttese, in his second participation in the event. After a series of mini matches of excellent technical level, in which the young athletes certainly did not hold back, expressing a commendable commitment, always in the name of fairness and sportsmanship: truly the best way to renew the memory of Matteo Guerreschi.
The event was organized by the president’s US Mantovana Junior Luigi Barlera.
Six teams participated, divided into two mini groups, won respectively by Pergolettese and Arzignano.
In the final for first place, the yellow and blue conquer the La Voce di Mantua Trophy confidently prevailing 3-0 over Arzignano, a club that had won the 2023 edition.
The ranking of the other participants said third place for Mantua, fourth for Sassuolo, fifth for Lumezzane
and sixth for Mantovana Junior. Special awards for gunners Filippo Cosaro (Arzignano), Matteo Caridi (Mantua) e Matteo Bordoni (Pergolettese), for the best goalkeeper Matteo La Groia (Lumezzane), for the best player Francesco Baia (Sassuolo).
The FIGC regional councilor attended the sporting event Paola Rasorithe president of the province Carlo Bottani and the councilor of the Municipality of Mantua Alessandra Riccadonna . The award to the winning team was presented by Mrs Tersilla Warlike, Matteo’s mother.
