He was found dead in his home, Claudio Zaccagnini37 years old, one of the Giulianova fans involved in the pre-derby incidents with Teramo, in via Cupa, last 4 February.
The former Giallorossi goalkeeper was arrested after the clashes and the magistrate had imposed an obligation to remain at home. A difficult situation that he had been living with for months. As soon as the alarm was raised in the morning, the police and 118 health personnel arrived on site.

The dynamics of the tragedy are yet to be clarified, which particularly shook the local fan circles, in the aftermath of the joy of winning the play-off final for access to Serie D. Claudio Zaccagnini in Giulianova was a character beyond beyond football, not only for his well-known membership of the Giallorossi ultras.

The former footballer, in August 2018, received a plaque of merit from the then mayor Francesco Mastromauro on behalf of the citizens of Giulia, for being the first to intervene, on the evening of 7 July of that year, to practice the massage heart attack of a boy electrocuted near the monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, in Piazza della Libertà. He had put his safety at risk to save the young man, now it is his life that has dramatically ended at just 37 years old.
