Today, 17 June 2024, is the last day available to pay the first installment of the Imu, the municipal tax: here are all the instructions.

There expiration official date was June 16th but, since it falls on a Sunday, the owners of properties other than the main residence or those of luxury homes will be able to use this last day to pay the first installment of the tax.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Last day to pay Imu: all instructions
Italian citizens in possession of other properties other than their first home (unless it is considered luxury) are required to pay theImu annually. The tax must also be paid in case of possession of buildings, building areas and agricultural land.

You can pay via Model F24 or col bulletin made available by Poste Italiane, in post offices. In this second case, the payment must be made separately for each municipality in which the properties are located.
L’tax autonomy remains only in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region and in the two autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano, in which theImis and theImialways payable via F24.
What discounts are available?
The benefits provided include real estate units granted on free loan for use by the taxable person to relatives in a direct line within the first degree and the properties of Italian pensioners residing abroad and registered with the Aire.
The payment exemption was also extended by one year to Municipalities affected by the 2012 earthquakes in Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy and Veneto and from those of 2016 in the center of Italy.
The tax on unusable and uninhabitable buildings remains to be paid, even if the tax base is reduced by half.
What to know about Imu 2024
